Process Context: Processes drilling waste to meet closed-loop/zero-discharge standards, enabling liquid recovery and solids treatment/recovery.

Typical Challenges: The high-cost treatment of oil-based cuttings as hazardous waste; destabilization, solid-liquid separation, and wastewater compliance for water-based waste mud; the need for treatment processes to adapt to different regional regulations and waste characteristics; reducing waste haul-off volumes and disposal costs.

  • Cuttings Resource Recovery Line: For oil-based cuttings, thermal desorption/pyrolysis reduces oil content to <0.3%, recovering reusable base oil. For water-based cuttings, mechanical dewatering (e.g., screw press) minimizes volume.
  • Waste Mud Treatment System: An integrated system using chemical breaking, filter presses, and water treatment separates waste into compliant water (for reuse/discharge) and dry solids in a fully enclosed, clean process.
